Every thought you think and every word you speak is an affirmation. All of our self-talk, our internal dialogue, is a stream of affirmations. You’re using affirmations every moment whether you know it or not. You’re affirming and creating your life experiences with every word and thought. - Louise Hay
Let's understand how our subconscious mind works!
Our subconscious doesn't know anyone else but us. It has no concept of consciousness other than our own. When we criticize others or find fault, our mind thinks we are speaking about ourselves.
That's why it's so important to become aware of the power of our words, because often our words and feelings directed outwardly can cause havoc in our own lives. Our thoughts and feelings are influencing our own minds.
Affirmations are nothing but powerful Self-talk
Self talk is what we say to ourselves in our head. The way we talk to ourselves inwardly is very important because it becomes the basis of our spoken words.
If we belittle ourselves, life is going to mean very little to us and if we love and appreciate ourselves, life is going to be a joyous gift.
Your words have great power. So start listening closely to what you are saying. If you hear yourself say negative or limiting words, you can change them.
When you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings you can change your negative self talk into powerful affirmations.
You are not what you think. But you somehow become what you think because your body believes it.
So if you want to improve your life, talk to yourself differently. Tell yourself you deserve good things in life, you are capable of everything and your body will adjust to your thoughts.
How to Create your own Affirmations?
Creating your own affirmations can be very helpful in manifesting whatever it is you desire in your life. The 'ready-made' affirmations you find may or may not work for you because your current belief system may not align with them.
Your subconscious may resist the affirmations simply because they are not true to you. Your belief in yourself and the faith in the Universe can affect how affirmations work for you.
Affirmations are not some magical incantations that work for you..
You are the magic and the source. Affirmations are just words that are powered by your faith in yourself and the Universe.
Your words affect your reality. You have the power to change your reality you just have to believe in yourself.
Consider Affirmations as prayers to your divine self, the more you believe in your divine self the more powerful you become.
1) What's your purpose?
When creating affirmations for yourself it's important to know your purpose.
What you want now? What change you want to see in your surroundings/ reality?
2) How can you align yourself to your purpose?
You know your purpose, you know what you want but to have that you have to become that version of yourself that has the things you want.
Know how you can grow from the current version to the version that achieves all that you want.
Who is this person? How does she feels? It's important to understand that feelings are more important than mindset.
You have to align yourself to your feelings. How would you feel if you had everything you desired?
3) Write Everything
If it's in your head, it's imagination. But if you write it, it becomes real, tangent.
Writing your goals and the qualities of your best version is the same thing. So write everything you desire.
Then write every quality you would have if you achieved all that you want. These qualities are your keywords to create your affirmation.
But keep in mind that affirmations only work if you believe in yourself and your own words.
For example - If you want to become more fit strong and healthy, writing
'I am Strong, I am healthy ' won't work here because you already believe you are not that person but you want to be.
So you would write something believable like,
'I am capable of becoming healthy, strong and fit.'
'I am ready to become strong and fit'.
' I know I am stronger inside and I have power within me to achieve my goals.'
