When you are Emotionally independent, you think for yourself. You rely on your gut instincts. You know that if you don't follow your intuition, you will regret it, and you have. So you allow your intuition to guide you. As a result, your intuition becomes stronger and you trust yourself.


2) Your Emotional Intelligence increases


When you are emotionally independent you are emotionally strong. You understand that nothing is positive or negative or black and white. Everything depends on your perspective and perseverance. You stop taking things personally. You know that growth happens when you let things go and allow things to unfold in their own time. You don't force things to happen, you let things flow.


3) Your Relationships Improve


When you are emotionally independent you take responsibility for yourself and your actions. You don't blame others or expect anything from others. You respect others just as you respect yourself. You clearly state your boundaries and share your feelings. You are honest about what you want in your relationship and your life. You don't treat people as medicine.


4) You become more Resilient


The best thing about being Emotionally Independent is how resilient you become. You challenges as opportunities to grow and learn from life. You love your life even if you are facing a million issues, because you are always grateful for what you have. You understand that life is journey of self-discovery and everyday you try to discover something about yourself through others or the situations you face. You know that triggers are just locks you need to open to free yourself.


5) You become truly Independent


I am not saying that you won't need anyone. Ofcourse you need people in your life. But emotionally independent people know the difference between Emotional Support and Emotional Validity. You become your own cheerleader. You help yourself first. You try to do things on your own. You stop expecting things from people. You ask what you need of them knowing that they may be able to help you or may be not. And you are grateful for their support and help.
